My name is Graham Wilson and I am an Alcoholic.
I am just over 40 years old and I’m pleased to say that I have been clean and sober since October 4th, 2013.
I started writing purely by chance actually. I met a Blogger through a mutual
friend whilst publicising a charity run I was doing for the Partick Thistle Community trust and naturally we got chatting about Blogging.
I went along to Blogging classes and to my surprise, I absolutely loved it. It felt like the perfect place for me to share my stories and more importantly get them down on paper. I very quickly started thinking about how my past miseries could in fact be someone else’s hope, and so here I am.
I’ve realised that my past is my biggest asset, so if anyone out there feels that I could be of use to them in any way, please never hesitate to reach out to me. My writing is completely honest and truthful, which although at times can be a struggle to admit, I’ve found it’s the only way to make progress.
Through the course of my blog I’ll be writing about the highs and lows of addiction and recovery.
My goal is that people will be inspired to seek the help they desperately need before it’s too late – as it nearly was for me. If even one person can relate to my story and do something to better their life, then it’s job done for me.
Today I have a life beyond my wildest dreams, because I got help.
Thank you for reading,
