Would You Like To Appear In A BBC Documentary?
How do we know when we are drinking too much, and what is the wider cultural significance of our drinking as a nation? Along the way we hope to shine a light on the many complex reasons people are drawn to drinking and the BBC are currently looking to speak to people who have a ‘relationship with alcohol’.

Many of us don’t identify as alcoholics, but have concerns that our drinking is doing us more harm than good. The BBC are looking to hear from people that are at the beginning of their journey– perhaps you worry you drink too much? Does your partner wish you’d cut down? Or have you got into a bad habit together?

We realise this might be a difficult issue to talk about, but the documentary will be sensitive and only require you to share what you are happy to. The BBC hope this documentary will open up an honest and non-judgemental dialogue about our nation’s drinking.

If you are interested in contributing to the programme please email a few details about yourself and your experience of drinking to bbc2casting@ricochet.co.uk . Getting in touch to find out more is no obligation to taking part in filming’

My name is Dianne Pearson and I am binge drinker. Although I know I am a full blown alcoholic I think I could give an insight into how I went from a social drinker to hiding drink, stealing and many hospitalisations through drinking. Basically, I am where others will be if they don’t stop drinking. I’m 45 and had a drink problem for about 20 years now.
